Yellow fever
Yellow fever is transmitted to human by infected Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. Its latent period is 3 to 6 days. Symptoms are fever, headache, back pain, prostration, nausea and vomiting. They may disappear in 3 to 4 days or develop renal failure, severe liver functional disorder, jaundice, and bleeding symptoms (nose or digestive tract). Anyone going to sub-Sahara Africa and Latin America, etc. is obliged to have a yellow fever vaccination.
