Explanation of vaccination
Measles 麻疹
Illness to prevent
Measles
Measles is highly contagious and has severe symptoms.
It usually begins with cold-like symptoms such as fever, coughing, and
a runny nose. A fever of approximately 38oC lasts for a while followed by a temporary
decrease, then the fever reaches up to very high accompanied with measles rash
all over the body. High fever will continue for 3 to 4 days and coughing will
worsen. Complications such as otitis media, pneumonia and encephalitis, can easily
occur, and death may result in some cases.
