Rabies
The rabies virus is usually spread when an infected animal (dogs, cats, bats, raccoons etc.) bites, scratches, or licks a person. Once the symptoms appear, the death rate is essentially 100%. Rabies infection begins with cold-like symptoms. It is followed by never system damage signs such as hypersensitivity to light and to the sight of water, restlessness, disorientation and hallucinations, which leads to coma and death. Rabies vaccine is recommended for person who is leaving for East South Asia, Latin America, Africa, etc.

Latent Period
It can be from 9 days to over one year. The average is 2 months.
Routine vaccination (age and frequency)
For prevention: twice separated by 4-week, the third dose is given at 6 to 12-month.
For the wounded: a shot immediately, thereafter at 3, 7, 14, 30, and 90 days, a total of 6 doses.
Note
Anyone who has allergy to gelatin or eggs should discuss with a doctor before vaccination.
Side effects
Red, swelling, or pain in the injection site.
