How long is a person with the flu contagious? Laboratory data shows that people with the flu may continue to spread the virus to others for 5 to 6 days after they get sick. The problem is that though anti-flu medication can reduce the spread of the virus, it can not shorten the flu contagious period. Then, the present situation of being allowed to go to school or kindergarten 2 days after the fever has gone may increase the risk of flu transmission. Isn’t that ironical if anti-flu measure may help the flu transmission? インフルエンザにかかった時いつまでほかの人に感染する可能性があるのでしょうか。 いろいろな実験データからみてみると、インフルエンザウイルスに感染してから約５〜６日間インフルエンザウイルスは排出され、ほかの人に感染する可能性があることが分かっています。問題は抗インフルエンザ薬を服用しても排出するウイルスの量は減りますが、その期間があまり短くならないことです。 したがって解熱後２日で登校や登園が許可されている現在の状況は、むしろ感染の拡大の機会をひろげている恐れがあります。 抗インフルエンザの登場が感染を拡大させているとすればとても皮肉なことでしょう。 |
