Mucous Cyst

A mucous cyst is a mucus-containing cystic lesion in the lip. There are many minor salivary glands in oral cavity. If some causes obstruct the salivary glands’ ducts and stop the flow of saliva, mucous cyst may occur. Some of mucous cysts may disappear spontaneously, but most of them should be excised.
